Defining Nature Informatics?

Almost every branch and discipline of science and technology uses information and communication technologies to address issues and explore answers to questions that interest respective communities. Most of the time these are practiced in isolation, though each one of them is aimed at creating sustainable solutions to nature, health, and wellness. However, this isolated practise of ICT into natural sciences viz., bioinformatics, biodiversity informatics, ecoinformatics, environmental informatics, chemoinformatics, geoinformatics though advances agenda of informatics in each of these disciplines, according to me also hampers the holistics and integrated understanding of complex, dynamic, and interlocuted view of nature, its services and factors that impact the nature.

NATURE INFORMATICS is an attempt to bring in these isolated informatics disciplies together in crate platform to perform them in synergized and collaboratory manner so as to create holistic view of nature, its process, services, functions, and factors that affect the natural processes. This in my opinion would lead to informed decision towards natural resource utilization and conservation in much better way than its happening today.
